“TRANSFORMATIONS”
Carol’s digital photo-drawings depict the powerful process
of personal transformation. As such, they are autobiographical
– both retrospectively and futuristically. Each photo digital-drawing
contains a part of her story, as well as her hopes and dreams
for the future. They speak to the seeking, surrendering, and sacrificing
necessary to move toward a free, soaring spirit. As such, her
story relates to the universal, humanistic story of healing, evolution
and transformation.
Each print is a composite of many individual photographs, each
personally chosen for their symbolism. (Carol uses no stock photographs.)
The use of glowing light and radiant colors accentuates the meaning.
The photographs are layered to represent the process of evolution
and transformation. These themes are depicted in symbolic form,
much the same way one would experience a dream.
Each print “floats” on a white boarder and is ready
for framing. Because of the way the prints appear to float on
the paper – created by subtle shadowing – no matting
is required. The sizes given for each print includes the white
boarder. Carol’s photo digital-drawings are printed on archival
papers with archival, ultrachome inks, and rated, when framed,
at a 75-100 year longevity.
