What is Coaching?

      It is easiest to answer this question by comparing coaching to psychotherapy. Coaching and psychotherapy are both entirely confidential. Both require active listening, reflection, awareness, intuition, constructive feedback, compassionate understanding, encouragement, and ideas. The biggest difference is that coaching does not focus on psychological problems, any diagnosable mental or emotional illness, or issues from the past, such as family-of-origin issues.

     As a coach, Carol's attention is forward-looking and about thriving - not merely surviving. Coaching interactions are based on an optimistic, positive perspective, and invite mutually shared, creative brainstorming. Carol's responsibilities are to question, challenge, support, and to motivate. She will be there to help you set goals, to problem solve, and to share ideas, experiences, and resources. As a creativity coach, it is Carol's goal to support your innate abilities, and help you to: expand, enhance and externalize your creative visions.
